Grapes
- 100% Merlot from Finca Vidal, located in Tupungato, Mendoza, at 1050 meters above sea level.
- Grapes selected from a section of a pergola-trained vineyard over 60 years old. Cluster thinning was performed to reduce yield and increase concentration.
- Hand-harvested in 15 kg boxes during the last week of March 2014. Ripening was delayed due to lower-than-average temperatures, but harvest conditions were ideal—no rain and stable temperatures.
Vinification
- Fermented with 15% whole cluster.
- Aged in French oak barrels (50% new) for 18 months.
- Total production: 1400 bottles
Tasting Notes
- Bright ruby color.
- Intense and complex nose with aromas of ripe fruits. The whole cluster fermentation adds distinctive aromas reminiscent of organic wines.
- On the palate, flavors of spices and ripe red and black fruits stand out. Balanced and intense tannins and acidity, enhanced by cooler-than-average nights, provide elegance and roundness.

- Recommended serving temperature: 14–18°C (58–65°F)
